In addition to using mysms on your smartphone, you can also use mysms on your PC, Mac, netbook, iPad or Android tablet.
Requirements:
- You own an Android smartphone or iPhone.
- You have an active data or wifi connection on your smartphone
- For Android: Background data are enabled on your phone
How to get started:
1. Download mysms
Install mysms for Android or iPhone and register. If you already have mysms installed on your phone, you can simply use your login information for mysms on the web.
2. Login online
Go to the login page and enter your number and your password.

3. Save the site as a favorite in your browser
Make mysms a bookmark or favorite so you can quickly access the site next time.

Data security is a high priority for mysms. Your SMS are encrypted and sent via SSL, ensuring the maximum security for your data. More information on the use of data can be found in our Privacy Policy.
mysms is completely free.
For Android: You can use mysms Android to send SMS via your mobile carrier. These SMS messages are charged by your carrier.
Due to restrictions imposed by the manufacturer, it is not possible to send messages with pictures and files on your iPad. As soon as it becomes possible, we’ll be adding sending pictures and any files to the iPad web app.
With mysms you can send any kind of file you want – word documents, pdf-files, avi-files, etc.
If the recipient uses mysms Android or our web app, your pictures will be displayed directly in the message. If your recipient is not using mysms, she/he will receive your files as a link. After clicking this link, she/he will be shown the full picture/file.
We handle messages with attachment like SMS messages (and not MMS). Therefore, a message with pictures or files costs you the same as a message without attachment.
1. Click on the
Button next to the text field of your text message.
2. Choose your desired file format in the new window.
3. Next, pick the picture or file you want to send.
4. Insert your recipient and text and there you go!
You can send 4 pictures or files per text message, 10 MB maximum per attached picture/file.
With mysms you can send messages worldwide at no charge. The only requirement is that your contact also uses mysms.
For Android: When using mysms Android, you can also send messages via your mobile carrier and other Websms services. Please contact the provider directly to find out more about supported countries.
Please note: This feature is only available for Android due to technical restrictions.
In the web app you'll find a number of options for sending text messages, similar to on your Android smartphone. When you write a new SMS, select your network service provider (SIM icon) and this message will be sent via your mobile service provider. There are no additional fees when you use mysms in this way.
Requirements:
- In order to access your smartphone, you need an active internet connection on your Android smartphone. mysms uses the same data package that is used on the smartphone for email and surfing.
- If you’re using a version of Android prior to version 2.2, you’ll have to manually start mysms on your smartphone in order to send SMS via your network service provider.
There could be a few reasons, why your messages do not get synced correctly.
Here are the most frequent problems:
- Inactive or weak data connection or WIFI on your smartphone
- For Android: GoSMSPro is installed on your Android smartphone
If GoSMSPro is installed, please follow these steps to solve the problem:
1. Start GoSMS on your Android smartphone
2. Open “Menu” - “Settings” - “Advanced” - “Receipt Settings” and deactivate “Disable other message notifications”.
3. Check to see if your incoming SMS are being correctly synchronized with the web app.
4. If it doesn’t seem to be working, restart your smartphone and check again for proper syncing between the smartphone and the web app.
5. If syncing still isn’t working, we recommend that you uninstall GoSMSPro to take care of the problem.
