mysms provides you with these three sending options:
1) mysms friends messages (green send button
)
With mysms friends you can send free text messages to other mysms users. These messages can be delivered worldwide and are sent via data connection. In addition for every message you send, you’ll receive a free confirmation (check mark) that the message has been received. mysms recognizes whether the recipient uses mysms as well. In this case the send button turns green.
2) Texts via mobile carrier (grey send button
)
In case you want to send texts to people who don’t use mysms, you can choose to send via your mobile carrier (grey send button). Your existing mobile agreement will be used, so there are no additional costs for using this channel.
3) Message via a connector (e.g. mysms out = blue send button
)
Furthermore mysms provides you with the possibility to add a Websms Connector in the mysms settings. Using this connector you’re able to send cheap messages worldwide to save on SMS costs.
Data security is a high priority for mysms. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the security of your personal information against loss, misuse and unlawful behavior. We know you love your texts - that’s why we integrated with Evernote.
And this is how it works:
1. Go to settings and click on Evernote
2. Connect your mysms Account with Evernote. Then enter your Evernote account data.

3. You will now find all new incoming and outgoing messages also in Evernote.
With mysms friends you can send free text messages to other mysms users. For every message you send, you’ll receive a free confirmation that the message was received. The green mysms button
shows you if a contact is already using mysms friends. If your contact is available as a mysms friend, mysms friends will automatically be selected for sending (button changes to green).
On the one hand we sell our desktop and tablet apps at a premium (detailed information about this strategy is available on our blog). On the other hand, we work with mobile carriers and handset manufacturers. In these partnerships mysms acts as a service provider.
With mysms you can send any kind of file you want – word documents, pdf-files, avi-files, etc.
If the recipient uses mysms Android, mysms iPhone or our web app, your pictures will be displayed directly in the message. If your recipient is not using mysms or using it on a Windows Phone, she/he will receive your files as a link. After clicking this link, she/he will be shown the full picture/file.
We handle messages with attachment like SMS messages (and not MMS). Therefore, a message with pictures or files costs you the same as a message without attachment.
It’s great that you like the application and want others to use mysms! Using the Android app you can send an invitation directly via SMS, email or social media: Start mysms and open the “Menu”. There you’ll see an option to “Invite friend” – it’s that easy to share mysms with all your contacts.
Add a new contact or apply contact changes in your stock contact app and perform a manual sync in your mysms settings. After the sync has completely finished, your new contact or the changes will be displayed in mysms.

Like any other app, mysms can be set to appear on your home screen. This makes it easier for you to start the application quickly. Using the mysms widgets for texting is another option.
There are two widgets
- The mysms Icon Widget displays the number of unread messages. This is different than the quick start which only opens the application – the mysms widget can also perform this function.
- The number of unread texts are also shown on the mysms Big Widget. It additionally allows you to reply to an text message directly from the home screen.

Installing the widget
Click and hold on a free area of the home screen for a few seconds. A menu will open. Choose “Widgets”. All the available widgets will be shown. Select mysms Icon or mysms Big. That’s all you have to do to add mysms to your home screen.
Sometimes Task Killer can affect the functionality of mysms.
If Task Killer closes the application, the connection to the server is lost – this can result in a delay in receiving new messages that can last several minutes.
